A new season is on the horizon - the first pre-season friendly is less than 2 weeks away.

Reading's future is still up in the air.

The disastrous owner hasn't sold. There are prospective buyers, but nothing's happened yet.

I'm not really in touch these days, but most of our first team squad are youngsters who have come through the system (we have a top rated youth set up) and they clearly have a team spirit that can keep us in this league.

Sadly, Reading's financial situation means that our womens' team are getting fucked off. Very bad given Fran Kirby is a Reading girl who came through our system.

The draw for the premiership academy side will be on Thursday, the other teams in the BDSM have already been drawn. Such a strange competition.

Birmingham City owners supposedly asked the EFL if we could play our fixture with Wrexham in the US, which has largely gone down like a cup of sick with fans of both clubs! Swiftly denied anyway.
Oddly, I'm really looking forward to this season anyway, definitely going to some games this year, since for once we should be a bigger fish in a smaller pond lol. In theory at least.
