You asked what they were trying to achieve - they clearly state what they ate trying to achieve. Whether you believe that it's effective is something else.

Well, they are going to be doing more.
 
on another thread recently you were arguing against net zero on the basis we need to be aiming for negative emissions. But you think the government are doing enough? You are consistently all over the place on this issue.
Where did I state the government was doing enough? I don't think that at all, and have not stated that.
Just Stop Oil seems to have no concrete demands.
 
And you think that the whole movement is adequately encapsulated by what one article reports one activist as having allegedly said? How does that very limited account justify this claim?
Then the action failed, if it did not act to publicise a set of specific demands.
 
Just Stop Oil claims on its website that its actions caused the government to decide to issue no more new licences for gas and oil exploration. However, it is claimed by Brett Christophers that no more licences have been issued because it is now too expensive to extract from them.
I am not sure if his argument makes sense.
