Wasps are pollinators that are very important to our ecosystems.
They get a lot of shit for just being wasps, but they are as important as bees (just a bit angrier).

Wasps are much more interesting than bees as well - so much variety. Bees are basically shit de-evolved wasps.

Bee stings are more nuclear than wasp stings but they’re less gung-ho about it.

Well done, I learned about rescuing bees from a friend but yet to apply this knowledge. I rescued a bunch of suicidal snails the other day, whilst swearing as I was late for the train : D

Maybe the first step is to stop your friend taking bees hostage.

I saved a moth last night. It was bashing itself against a closed window so I opened the next door one and shooed it out.
