Most likely the police were collecting stray bricks into their truck to prevent them being thrown but then why are they taking them out and counting them in a little pile like that?

Oh, I know. But part of the issue in the U.S. of being black is that you're also likely to be poor? So if you're brought up in a wealthy family you're probably shielded from the very worst of racism? What’s the legal position on intervening in an assault by police? If you try to stop your mate being killed by a cop by smashing a fence post over their head, I’d imagine you’d be imprisoned for a long time. Americans have the constitutionally protected right to defend themselves from government tyranny with big fuck off guns, so whacking a cop with a big stick should be fine
