The problem with Democrats (and most types on the left) is we're empathic and nice. The right on the other hand are psychopaths. It's like bringing a tissue to a gun fight.
I've qualified in two areas professionally. Accountancy and psychiatric nursing so I've got a bit of insight into the mindset on both sides. I ponder if being a psychopath is the next stage in human evolution. They are very effective in survival and self promotion.

As I read it, the kid (did the Kenosha kid? those who know will understand) consistently tried to withdraw from the situation in which his stupidity had placed him, and was then pursued by others, including the people he shot at, one of whom drew a gun on him first.

Ridiculous technicality, but <having looked it up now>, the charge they tried to do him on only applies to children under 16 <a hunting regs violation, I think>. Point is he was 16 at the time (ie. not under 16), hence the regulation pertinent to the specific barrel length did not apply.*
