Shoot it. If the noise goes away...I've become a bit obsessive about it and will shoot out of the house when I hear it in the day, trying to identified which small squeaky thing it's coming from. Yesterday the only thing nearby was a blue tit. I don't think blue tits make that kind of noise though, do they?
