I Got Banged In The Arse By SW Trains For £32

Except he's really not claimed anything of the sort. He's simply argued that YOU don't get to be arbiter of what constitutes a meaningful journey, and YOU sure as fuck don't get to be arbiter of who can and can't walk how far and where. It's you who has been putting completely unnecessary emphasis on the word disabled; in fact, a bigger cynic than I might think you were doing it to imply that it's all a bit put on really, the lazy "disabled" people.

You're at least mildly entertaining I suppose. I've started reading your posts in my head as:

It's not much really but i'm still at work, got to make my own entertainment somehow.
For fuck's sake. Getting the Tube wouldn't about a million times more difficult then making the journey above ground.

SS is the one being offensive by trying to shoe-horn disabled people into his argument.

Why should I "apologise" to you when you're carrying on like this?? I've got nothing to apologise for anyway.

Just like I said 0.2 miles.

Unfortunately for you, you're forgetting that the entrance to Charing Cross station can be as far away as Trafalgar Square and that link only goes as far as the entrance on The Strand. Who doesn't know their London geography now?

And I haven't "mis-quoted" you. You said it was a "3rd of a mile". You can't even keep up with your own bs.

Actually I said... and I quote:
could be upto almost 1/3 of a mile

At no point did I say it was exactly 1/3 of a mile. So again, you are wrong.

Mis-quote you did I........?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"I'd be amazed at anyone with walking difficulties taking a just minute to travel the distance between the two considering that could be upto almost 1/3 of a mile
How they paying? You are making zero sense. If they are travelling from somewhere else they will already have a ticket to cover them from Embankment to CHX. How does that relate to the Single fare between those stations? It doesn't
Someone with a PAYG oyster would probably end up being bumped up to a travel card after being charged the disproportionate single fare. Depending on where they'd already been that day of course.

yes, can you read the bit where I said "almost" - that means not quite. But nevertheless a fair distance if you are physically impaired. I am so tired of arguing with you when you can't even be bothered to read what I say properly.

I read everything you wrote. The trouble is it makes ZERO sense to anyone with a) knowledge of the two stations and the distance between them, and b) a brain.

I like the way you're now trying to weasel your way out of the "3rd of a mile" thing. Well done.

You're getting desperate now.

HA.. I even quoted my own quote against your mis-quote and you still can't admit that you are wrong about mis-quoting me. Twice. You're pathetic.

And you know shit all about London compared to me. And I don't even live there.

I lived in London for 10 years, working in the West End for most of it and I've danced to some of the world's finest DJs under those very arches at Heaven beneath Charing Cross station more times than I can recall. I've walked literally hundreds of times between the two points in my lifetime and I also know its an uphill walk if you're coming from Embankment. So you are wrong, again.

'Hill' is pushing it but it's definitely an incline. When I made my comment earlier about it being easier to go by the foot route for someone with mobility problems I had an image in my head of happy wheelchair users cruising down Northumberland Ave towards Embankment without thinking about going in the other direction.

You're just being pedantic. It's nowhere near a "3rd of a mile". Which means you were totally wrong. Are you going to apologise to me now?

And you know shit all about London compared to me. And I don't even live there.
Bollocks you do. Judging by the way you're gong on here you know nothing, but think you do.

Well a wheelchair user isn't going to able to get on the Tube either.

What do you mean "Where"? This argument is about the Single fare between Embankment and CHX. Keep up.

Here's the route as described by National Rail (with photos). At the top of Villiers Street especially it's described as a "steep incline" so going "uphill" seems a fair way to describe it: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/SME/html/NRE_CHX/external/1485-0000007.html

But it doesn't matter because "nobody in their right mind" would make the journey anyway because "there's nothing there!"

I love the bit about "anyone with a brain" and being "pedantic" in the wider context of his absurd defence of a system that charges you for underusing a train service. Absolute genius.

You haven't made any "relevant" points, just come up with a lot of bullshit about people who "can't walk" a few hundred yards (3rd of a mile, LOL!), yet can somehow get themselves down into a deep level Tube station, travel to the next station and get themselves back up again, which is going in involve a ton more walking anyway.

Wow, more worthless shit from a worthless sack of shit.
Actually, wankchops, there are plenty of people with msuculo-skeletal mobility problems who can stand or use an escalator when absolutely necessary, but who can't walk 300-400 yards.
Not that you give a fuck, because you're a shitcunt.

OMFG, them disableds, having problems that don't always make complete sence to ignorant pricks. makes them fucking hilarious, dosen't it.

you really are showing yourself up as a prize fucking cunt with this one.

A prize fucking cunt who knows fuck all about the accessibility issues disabled people have with public transport, and fuck all about the physical issues disabled people have.
Bet his prize is the booby prize, and I mean the ugly avian, not the slang for female anatomy!

What a seriously sad person you are. In fact I've never met anyway who is as sad as you. How pathetic. And I'm supposed to feel "sympathy" for you. Get a life. Tosser.

So how the fuck are they going to walk down the stairs and along all the tunnels?? Pratt.

Ah. I think your prejudice just showed.

I don't think VP was telling you about his own disabilities because he wanted your sympathy, and the fact that you seem to be making that assumption says a great deal more about you than you think you're saying about him.

Yes, you're correct. I have "prejudice".......towards people who speak to me like shit.....and follow me around a forum so they can speak to me like the aforementioned shit.

And how have "assumed" anything? I already know for a fact that VP has go a huge chip on his/her shoulder about me.

Now why would anyone do that?

Perhaps they don't like the hat you're wearing, or something *shrug*

He has form for animus against disabled people. He's previously stated that disabled people shouldn't protest about lack of accessibility with regard to public transport; that we should be grateful with what we're given, and that anyway, the networks are accessible enough, and there are always staff around to help.

He's basically a cunt.

Now why would anyone do that?

Because they're a cunt. This all dates back to a thread MONTHS ago. And ever since they've taken every opportunity to flame me. It's the most pathetic behaviour I've ever seen from a so-called adult.

He said 0.3 of a mile (or around 430 yards). A third of a mile (around 590 yards) would be almost half as much again.

Yup. It's a fucker in a chair even when the incline is slight, isn't it? :D
