Do you slip your own songs into your sets ever?

Yeah, of course. I will usually start with whatever single I have out at that point. I perform that first on the set and then maybe “Turn It Up” and then at the end I always end with a “Stars Are Blind.”

How do you know if you’re living your best life or not? I have a sneaking suspicion I’m NOT living my best life :hmm:

TBF its very totally normal for djs to play their own tunes...many a dj producer play sets made up of just of their own tunes, maybe with a couple of others thrown in. Its a bit like seeing a band play their own tunes... Extension of the dubplate culture thing too. Paris keeping it fresh out the box, clearly.

I doubt shes any worse than any of the other massive US EDM DJs out there...not sure how to tell a good one from a bad one tbh. She seems to be able to put her hands in the air at the drop, and im sure her instagram account is popping off <<<top two dj skills there

It really isn't that different.....a lot of djs are producers too. In fact producing is the way in to the big league circuit
 
Whilst Paris might be a bit of an airhead who doesn't realise that pretty much everything she has 'achieved' is down to the fact that her family is loaded, she is at least harmless. I find the fact someone has given Jenny McCarthy a woman who believes flashing her tits in Playboy magazine renders her a medical expert to be a far more worrying thought.
 
Jenny Mccarthy is a bit sycophantic. At least Paris Hilton amused some by producing a porn video.

McCarthy doesn't believe that her previous career gives her medical expertise (she says she got that from the internet and her 'Mommy instinct') so it's below the belt to bring up her career 'flashing her tits' to discredit her views. For one thing, it's unnecessary as her views are plain wrong and for another it's really bloody tedious to see women spoken about like that.

She got her views from the internet yes but she relied very heavily on her fame and public exposure to push them, If she was just a suburban mum from Texas then no-one would have paid a blind bit of attention to her.
if she wants to earn a living by posing nude that is entirely her choice and I for one don't hold it against her. And I am very definitely in favour of women going to university and actually becoming a doctor but this is a woman
who took advantage of the fact that she was famous for something completely unrelated to push a dangerous agenda.

I don't understand. It's alright for her to have a career as a nude model so long as she doesn't try to promote her opinions (even at a letter date when she doesn't do nude modelling anymore)?
And when she does voice an opinion it's fair game to discredit her view because she used to take her clothes off for money? I think thats the very definition of holding it against her.

I have no problems with her having a career as a nude model, she's an attractive lass and if she wants to make money out of that then nothing to do with me. And she is just as entitled to have opinions as anyone else.
But the only reason she has been given a platform to air her views is because she looks good in a bikini which prior to the anti-vaxxer rubbish was the only thing she was famous for.
OK fair do's a lot of the blame for that falls squarely on the shoulders of the mostly male TV execs making decisions on the grounds that a Playboy Bunny spouting rubbish makes for higher TV ratings than a doctor
talking sense and thus implies her opinions have the same value as a medical degree.
However there seems to me to be little doubt that Ms McCarthy is well aware of this and has played such things to her maximum advantage in pushing her message that she "Just Knows" vaccines are bad.
She clearly knows that she is being listened to because she looks good on TV (and she has no other actual skills) and she is not using her platform to do something worthwhile like encouraging girls to go to college or not let
boys treat them as sex objects or indeed even just to flog cosmetics. She is using her platform to spread a dangerous and discredited opinion taking full advantage of the fact that people will watch just because she is famous for
what she did before.
