I know what you mean. My preferred method seems to be to keep them in a box and never look at themYeh... I am not sure about hanging my own prints on the wall, feels a bit too... lardy da
I think putting your own art on the wall's a brilliant thing to do. It's something you've created and should feel proud of, and reflects an aspect of you far better than anything created by someone else ever will. And it's what it's for. If I ever manage to create anything that could be considered art, I'm damn well gonna stick it up.I did make my own typography print thing that I quite liked but I feel a bit of a prick putting my own 'art' on the wall.
I think putting your own stuff up is a great idea. No need to sign it in six foot neon letters, but if someone asks, how nice to be able to say'yeah, I did that'I wanted a Stephen Walter map of London but at several hundred to several thousand pounds it is out of the question
So basically, I have a bare wall that is an oxblood red and I want a print in the middle of it - quite large and dominating. I have it in my head that a print with plenty of white or lots of white space would look good. I did make my own typography print thing that I quite liked but I feel a bit of a prick putting my own 'art' on the wall.
So if anyone knows of anything a bit similar to Stephen Walter's map of London then post something.
Must be of London (or at a push Northumberland and Newcastle).
I have a picture of the Volkswagen factory on my red wall, of course
That's quite difficult to do now they've moved the car park Your best bet is the station car park on the other side of the railway line, so you can get the chimneys in.At some point I will have this too; a photo taken by me, with my car and/or van in front.
do it. If you don't like it, you can take it down.Been talking about this today actually and was told the same thing, "put your photos on the wall, they're good".
Still don't know.. feels odd
Do it, and be inwardly proud of yourself for making something beautiful. If Manter and I say the same thing, the chances of it being wrong are virtually zero.Been talking about this today actually and was told the same thing, "put your photos on the wall, they're good".
