Help! being asked to pay £100 customs duty and import VAT on my own effing jacket

I'm sure they're going to be anti-climatic after the big story, but here's the one I left in San Diego and is now lost in transit for eternity:

And here's the one I bought. The jacket is exactly the same but the pattern is slightly different. Curiously, the new jacket has orange lining too.
I like the jacket because the top pocket can accommodate my Sony full frame compact which is handy for keeping it out of sight in dodgy neighbourhoods.

And you can hide in shrubbery and what not in said neighbourhoods.

Not orange, more of a mustard, I'd say (colour pedant here). Your original puts me in mind of those khaki jackets that were ubiquitous in the '80s, with orange-lined hoods with faux fur trim. Wossisname off of Grange Hill always wore one (Zammo…?).

You'e spent all this time moaning about a fucking parka?

I used to buy vintage dress patterns from the states on Etsy but gave up after I started getting stung this way. Once you've paid the shipping, which also seems to have become disproportionately expensive, plus customs etc, you can end up paying over £30 for a £7 pattern.

And this is basically a second hand piece of paper

For vintage patterns, I've found this helpful:
