HEADS UP - BNP: The Fraud Exposed - Panorama BBC1 Mon 10/10/11 - 8.30pm

Seems to be lots of bitter nazis out there. Moss Bros did a roaring training during the filming of this :)

yeah bit of an anti climax. 'theyre using electricity in their uk offices thats only supposed to be for their european office!'

you think the lawyers made them take a lot of stuff out or they just had nothing in the first place?

Possible they were made to remove stuff. Also possible that they realised there is no way they could plausibility stretch out a case based almost solely on the word of known liars and nutters and so on for any longer.

How can anyone be involved in the bnp expect any sort of credibility? The idiot collet for example; can not be trusted on anything. He is a hate filled scumbag, so what if nick has upset him

Small fry loosers at the end of the day. Was just funny to see them whine and bitch about each other. Oh and seeing Nazi boy Mark Collett criticise the way Griffin handles the media was beyond parady.

A tenner says he couldn't grow a hitler tash even if he wanted too

Drat, missed it.

I had the misfortune to see Collett close-up. Strange eyes.

Was it ferrets in a sack sort of stuff?

the essence of fascism distilled in one statement Binka.

just the government mouthpiece trying placing some distance between the far right and the government?

Listed in an email from Hope not Hate. The BBC found that:
  • The BNP has submitted fraudulent accounts to its auditors and the Electoral Commission
  • The BNP has used European Union money to fund its party organisation
  • Nick Griffin has hidden large donors from the electoral commission and had a slush fund that the party treasurer has no access to
  • BNP officials allegedly held a party worker against her wishes in a locked van after she refused to comply with their instructions
  • The BNP lied to the Electoral Commission to justify why it had submitted late returns

Personally I would be far more interested in a Panorama programme that dealt with the question as to how in , what were favourable conditions for the left in the mid 2000s, that the far right built a dynamic presence in working class areas rather than the left.

I'm getting my alcoholic Hitlerites confused. Would we be referring to Eddy Morrison or some alter ego of Sid Williamson? On the other hand, I'm sure that in the eyes of some boneheads, the Bostik Boy and the Sofa Soaker would represent the new dream team of far right politics.

bakunin, heres a few articles to clarify which alcoholic hitlerite is which!

aint done much on eddie W tho.

Pretty disappointing really. Was kind of hoping there'd be more killer-detail about the BNP's imminent bankruptcy.

Not sure why someone disagreed with the 'ferrets in a sack' phrase above. Seems about right.

Just watched this. The "I wouldn't piss on Nick Griffin if he was on fire" comment made by the woman who had been locked in a lorry, in a Tesco car park and held to ransom by the BNP was the high point.

Mark Collett looked relaxed. His business must be doing well?

Which left?

The Labour party was in power under Blair (described as "soft left") at the time, whose thoughts on gaining power was to occupy the "radical centre". Some state that Blair was more a "populist" than of the 'left', or 'right' - his declared "Third Way". Then there's Gordon Brown, who it is said believes in an 'ethical view of socialism', including a 'commitment to equality'. Before Blair won the election in 1997 the Labour left was noticeable by its absence. No surprise really after Militant and the Bennites were seen off in earlier years. There's little left of the Labour left these days.
