Every wondered about Hawk the Slayer? I have never seen it. But frankly it looks better than Krull. I hate Krull! It gives me a headache, I have to lie down in a dark room with a bag of ice on my head if I see Krull.

Hawk the Slayer

So Hawk plus points: Hawk is Jacks dad from Lost in his first role! yes that IS Bernard Breslaw as a Giant. Its got Jack Palance in it. Loads of wierd sound effects.

Krull

Krull plus points: massivly higher production values in comparison to Hawk, Bernard Bresslaw AGAIN as a CYclops, other top stars include Liam Neeson, Robbie Coltrane and erm.. Todd Carty from Grange Hill/Eastenders. MAybe its not as bad as all that.

Anyway, you decide!!

never seen hawk the slayer but i fucking love krull. one of the first films i ever remember seeing back on telly in the 80s. awesome film

nah - Beastmaster can kick both their heads in.

and how can you not like Krull?
that is one of the best films since Citizen Kane.

All 3 filllums were quality when i was a nipper, all 3 are painfully cheesy nowadays!
not alot innit TBH but my vote goes to Hawk, its just a bit more dark and scary (although Krull prob was a better film)

Never seen Hawk the Slayer but I have it on good authority that it was rubbish, so Krull it is!

agreed - Legend is a great movie...didn't like it as a kid 'til i saw it a few years ago...

another underrated classic of that 'era was a Company of Wolves.

Legend is completley different to Krull and Hawk... thats for the 'Legend vs. Labrynth' thread that doesn't exist yet (Labrynth ftw)... and while we are on the subject of Hawks what about Ladyhawke

Hawk the Slayer for me. I watched it when i was around 10 or so, and it was great. (I refuse to watch it now, knowing that it will be pants, i will keep the good memories in place!) :D

Ladyhawke was excellent. Rutger Haur befor he got old and fat

Red sonja however, was jaw droppingly shite

I saw Hawk the Slayer at the cinema as a kid - loved it!

Went home and re-lived the plot with lego for days afterwards (but i did that with every film I ever saw including Saturn 3)

Re: Fubert's post
According to Trash City's review, Deathstalker II, is far,far funnier...
BTW, why is there no mention of Conan The Destroyer, Ladyhawke, Red Sonja or even Beastmaster...? ;)

Hawk. Machine gun rate of arrows from an elf for the win.

Plus the Elf was called Crow. How  is that?
