I can’t believe none of us saw this coming when he was appointed to be honest, he seemed like such a fantastic appointment at the time, definitely must have been the outstanding candidate.

He set the scene for this a few weeks ago when he asked the players essentially if they had the stomach for it. You could conclude the answer is no.

Barnes wasn't dealt a good hand - this ultimately stems from not getting shot of Gavin Rose at the end of last season - but it increasingly looks like he's lost the dressing room or is tactically out of his depth. I've not seen a game under Barnes but if Ben Clasper has the number for Tony Pulis or Big Sam he should dial it...

If that's how he feels then he needs to deal with that behind closed doors, but repeatedly coming out and talking to the camera about players not caring etc is only going to make that situation worse. If he's lost the dressing room (and it seems that way) then it's hardly surprising. He may well be a really good coach but I'm getting the impression he's not the right fit to be manager.

Where we in the league when he took over? Were we not fairly comfortably mid-table, or am I mis-remembering?
