Greenwich pubs

telbert

Do you like sponge?
Bit of a jaunt into town tomorrow for a few beers and a bit of grub, with the starting point in Greenwich ( Cutty Sark DLR ). Haven't been boozing in that part of town for a while so im a bit out of date on pub info. Im looking for decent beer, not too touristy ( if thats possible ) and within walking distance of Cutty Sark DLR / Pier please. All info most gratefully received.
Thanks

Sailloft is fairly new, has a good range of beers and is by the river - The Sail Loft - Fuller's Pub and Restaurant London
Oystercatcher - more Bar/restaurant, pretty much next to the Sailloft - Oystercatcher Greenwich
Cutty Sark - further along the river to the east, past the power station but still easy walking distance. Great on a sunny day. Cutty Sark
The Trafalgar - bit more touristy, being right next to the college, but has outdoor seating and reasonable beers.

A bit further inland, there's the Plume of Feathers, just by the park - The Plume of Feathers, Greenwich London
The Mitre (The Mitre in Greenwich), Greenwich Union (The Greenwich Union) and Richard 1st (Richard The First) have all been good when we've visited.

There's also the Meantime Brewery a bit further along which has a bar etc.

The Old Brewery in the Old Naval College is nice when there's no one else there, but not so much during tourist season...
Gypsy Moth is okay, tends to be busy, but easy to find, being right next to the Cutty Sark ship.

Excellent work, ta very much.

Kings Arms pub in Greenwich
always has space and the food is good.
The Mitre, as already mentioned is also spacious but cosy.
The Plume of Feathers is the furthest ,but can be packed with locals...good food.
The Yacht, even though it's on the river so should be crammed, usually no problem getting a table with a view during the daytime.

Plume Of Feathers....that rings a bell...after a bit of research, we've been there two or three times. Great little local near the bottom of the park
