A walk round The City (the business district) on a weekend is good. It's practically deserted and is one of the most historic bits of the entire country.

A long walk takes you from Tower Bridge, past the tower past bits of the old London Wall, to St Pauls. Well worth the trudge to the top of that tower and the view :cool:

Also, put a curry on Brick Lane on the itnerary. It's an area which has seen waves of immigration starting with the French Hugenots (sp?) in the 1680s to the Jews in the 1800s and from the subcontinent post WW2.

A stroll and a picnic on Hampstead Heath then maybe some shopping/lunch (if the picnic doesn't work out!), on Heath Street afterwards.
