girls biker boots

My latest boot purchase is a pair of Paul Smith/Triumph boots. On the side is the Triumph logo and embossed on the leg leather is 'World's Fastest Motorcycle50s'. I love 'em but I'm not getting on any motorbike :D
Call me all the names you want pogo, I don't care, I'm stylish :p

mmmm, yes we do seem a little accident prone :D thanks for being nice about my shoes, I like yours too :)

Fine then if you want to be viewed as the lowest of the fucking low by anyone for whom the look actually means something.

You CANNOT be serious!!

:D

Even more reason to buy them and not own a motorbike.

Pissing off the small minded biker snobs.

:D:D er yeah, i put it down to be so fabulous that we have to be a bit accident prone to make others feel better about themselves...well that and i really like wine:oops:

I dont mind my shoes but i wish i could afford nicer ones..pref Marc Jacobs :(

Thing is, I'm not that snobby.

You should hear the ones who are. :p

But I do have a tendancy to get mildly fucked-off with wannabee twats who don't have anything to do with bikes but get the rest of us given a bad name.

Don't even start me on some of the designer/off the peg, branded "biker" clothing out there! :p

There are some hideous examples earlier on this thread TBH.

Sorry, I'm struggling to see how anyone wearing biker boots is "giving you a bad name".

Is this girl giving you a bad name?

Come on, biker boots are not the exclusive footwear of bikers, any more than rock and roll t-shirts are the exclusive apparel of heavy metal stars.

Even Top Shop are flogging Motorhead shirts nowadays.

You should be happy - the fashion world has come full swing and suddenly you're quite trendy!

Since when have I ever given a shit about being trendy? :D

This is sad. Last time I saw Motorhead, they were still well & truly in the domain of patch wearers. :D

Yeah, but again, those t-shirts like the boots look far better on a pretty girl than a sweaty lardy biker!

But my boots are not hideous and I think they look cool. Most of the bikers I see don't look as if they'd know what cool was even if I shut them in a freezer for a week :p

By the way, I never owned my own motorbike but I rode lots in the 1960's and now I'm old enough to wear what I bloodywell like :)

Do you think they care? :D

Ok, you pass! :p :)

Yes but it used to be that if you did see them on a lady, she was more likely to be the real thing! ;)

I don't want the real thing. The real thing smells.

This is 2008... and there are other options.

HUGE BUMP: I am looking for biker boots to get me out of wearing rocket dogs. I want a black pair and ones that will last a good few years. Any suggestions please?

I went through a host of 'biker'-style boots since the start of this thread, till I invested in some proper Lewis Leather 'bike' boots, which are so much better.

You got a link moose?
Well here's the Lewis Leathers site, but no way was I paying those prices, so I got some old but unworn Motorway boots from ebay for £120. Now I'm trying to track down some of the shorter Westway ones too.

For Pogo's benefit I should probably add that I owned a Triumph Bonneville between 1983 and 1989, and a Royal Enfield Bullet till 1992, so I have paid my biker-style boot dues, although in those days I preferred Frank Thomas boots :D :p
