My latest boot purchase is a pair of Paul Smith/Triumph boots. On the side is the Triumph logo and embossed on the leg leather is 'World's Fastest Motorcycle50s'. I love 'em but I'm not getting on any motorbike

i am not sure me and you should be allowed on Motorbikes anyways..for our safety as it were. They do sound dead nice though..you always have nice shoes

But I do have a tendancy to get mildly fucked-off with wannabee twats who don't have anything to do with bikes but get the rest of us given a bad name.

Come on, biker boots are not the exclusive footwear of bikers, any more than rock and roll t-shirts are the exclusive apparel of heavy metal stars.

But my boots are not hideous and I think they look cool. Most of the bikers I see don't look as if they'd know what cool was even if I shut them in a freezer for a week

Well here's the Lewis Leathers site, but no way was I paying those prices, so I got some old but unworn Motorway boots from ebay for £120. Now I'm trying to track down some of the shorter Westway ones too.

For Pogo's benefit I should probably add that I owned a Triumph Bonneville between 1983 and 1989, and a Royal Enfield Bullet till 1992, so I have paid my biker-style boot dues, although in those days I preferred Frank Thomas boots
