ooh i like those ones too bladrick, but moose's are cheaper....but your ones do look nice....decisions....
yeah, i dunno either.

i like being able to try things on before I commit myself. if grattan do cheapish returns i might attempt to get an account again. but then i could go to office and try some on

See this is the thing. From my description they kinda fit it but thats not what I'm looking for.
They are not flat enough, too slim in the foot and leg and yes :eek:expensive.

I'm being too picky arn't I?

No, they have to be right. That's the one disadvantage of buying online, you can't see them properly.

I take it none of you actually want these boots to go ON a bike?? cept maybe Ruby. :hmm:

I got a pair of Caterpillars boots in the Schuh sale for £25 for ON the bike. You really should check Schuh Rollem.

I do.

There is so much stuff out there but none of them are quite right.

Gosh we are fickle

good i thought i might be the only one who suffered from Robo leg.

I quite like the lewis leathers ones, but just by looking at them i can tell i will need to sell a kidney:mad:

I used to have the coolest pair of biker boots ever, in the days when I was able to get normal boots over my calves. I really miss them. :(

they are all absolutely awful.

They're Harley design, whatdya expect?? :D

Shells, try looking on motorbike clothes shop for kids stuff. I got me some moto X boots for £70 cos they are kids size

You're not likely to get real bike stuff cheap though coz it's protective gear and should be well better made than High St stuff.

This - just about all the fashion "biker" boots I've seen are in no way fit to used on a bike - for posers or sad wannabees only TBH. :(

honestly? when ive been a passenger on a motorcycle ive usually wore just reg. tennis shoes or brogans or whatever

i just like my boots sorry...:)

facking hell!!!

I used to have these in black/brown/suede/etc...

You could buy them in Camden for next to nothing in the early 90s... Does anyone else remember them?

* feels old * :eek:

Yep a friend of mine got a pair from Camden in the mid 90's for not a lot :)

Well I would wear them on a bike. Not because they give you as good protection as real biker boots, but because real biker boots don't come in my size, whereas Duo's boots do, and it's still better than wearing shoes.

But that's really not what this thread is about, it's about biker-styled boots, not boots for motorcycling in.

Please don't do this!! If you come off even at a slow speed you could get serious gravel rash at the very least. I came off a few weeks ago, wearing leathers, gloves, etc and got away with a severely bruised and grazed knee(still tender)
If I'd been wearing canvas shoes/jeans they would have fallen to pieces and my skin would have been next!! There's no ankle protection in your shoes either!!

We were only doing 10/15 mph btw.

i know i know

ive actually been in a couple of close calls that should make me think twice before jumping on a motorcycle with anyone with anything other than regulated stuff on....but its usually spur of the moment and i have normal street clothes (or a sundress :-o...or something on)...

i know thats no excuse but i cant wear that stuff all the time incase someone shows up somewhere on a bike...

but i know youre right. :)

There's more and more bike gear around that doesn't make you look like a complete twonk. BMW and Dainese are especially good. I'd be crippled several times over without body armour. And I would have had skin grafts aplenty if I didn't wear leather that can slide down the road without any drama. I've had loads and loads of bike crashes but never been hospitalised.

Too many people think jeans are OK. If you come off at 70 in jeans you can get so much abrasion that you die of blood loss. And if you come off at 30 or 40 you may well need skin grafts.

these are nice ones. yeah they're in the men's section but they start at size 5.
