I'll never forget being in a pub with two French women when England played France. England went 1 - 0 up and I felt sorry for them through the rest of the match and kept commiserating right up until the point when France got two goals and beat us and they went mental and forgot I even existed. I learnt something that day.

Good band. I promoted a gig for them in London two years back and they play massive halls in germany so when their fans heard they were playing a tiny venue about 50 flew in from Munich, most of them 1860 fans who just wound the band up all night
They gave me a compilation CD of indie tunes by Mehmet Scholl which came out on the same label as their stuff. Could you imagine any England footballer (with possible exception of Owen Hargreaves) doing that?

Felt really sorry for Turkey. Really routing for them and they deserved to go through. If someone told me at the beginning of the tournament I'd be supporting them I would have not believed it, but you have to take your hat off to their spirit.
On another note, this has probably been said a 100 times already but I've jumped straight to the last page and can't be arsed to check; listening to Radio 5 while watching the game is soooo much better than listening to the TV commentary. Way forward for me
