Is this guy any worse than Glen Tamplin and countless other shysters who've spent money that wasn't really theirs, before leaving a trail of destruction in their wake? (Ron Martin at Southend for starters.) I always struggle to pick the bones out of stories like this, but Tamplin denied us the Isthmian League championship with his gratuitous spending on players wages, whilst liquidating a series of companies owing £millions to creditors who will never see that money.
The good news is that Hilton has been bought out and Scunthorpe United is now owned by a local business owner who is NOT a property developer. There's still the problem of Glanford Park being still owned by the previous crooked property developer owner, but the club itself may now be safe even if they won't have their own stadium for a while. It's proving very difficult to get Iron fans to get active in any form of fan involvement beyond holding fundraising events. My view is that you have to fight like hell to prevent ANY property developer owning the club you support. I'm prepared to accept that it is possible that some property developers may be honest, but I categorise it somewhere alongside the ideas that aliens have visited Earth and that Elvis Presley is still alive and working as a short order cook.

Sorry I’m new to using the forum so apologies if this has been a thread before. Just wondered if anyone knows the rough kind of wages Dulwich will be paying and what the kind of level is in the isthmian compared to the NLS where I know there are some full time clubs. It’s something I can’t really seem to find much info on, I mean my assumption is Dulwich pay well at the level we are at?

Some interesting goings on at Hastings - Quade Taylor left this week after less than a month with them and today they've announced Femi Akinwande is leaving, their top scorer who's started every game this season.

After a good start where they won five and drew three, they've lost five of their last six games.

Can't seem to find any record of how many red cards they've had this season. Wonder if it's more or less the same as when Paul Barnes was in charge at the Hamlet

Watching the second series of Welcome to Wrexham. This week's episode is about their FA Cup run last season. Just bringing it home again of how poor our record is in the FA Cup. Not to mention all the non league podcasts I listen to talking about the FA Cup 4th qualifying round this weekend. Seems like an age ago we whimpered out again at the first hurdle...

Meanwhile, at Havant & Waterlooville the Steve King Effect is already well up and running:

The Twitter post they refer to is here - particularly enjoying the line "They can say all they like about my hair, clothes and height":

They lost again today, 3-2 at home to Wingate & Finchley. They only conceded 4 goals in their first 8 games and were unbeaten, but now they've leaked 19 in the last 7.

Akinwande has joined Hornchurch.

To lose one management job quickly might be seen as unfortunate but to lose two…

The ref in the Lewisham vs Lordswood game had a stinker by the sounds of it.

Not in the least bit surprised after some of my experiences with Clapton in recent weeks. Assistant referee managed to claim the first goal conceded at Welling had crossed the line when I met an in-swinging corner nearly a yard off my line. His opposite number managed to fall over his own feet and drop his flag chasing back as my left back challenged an attacker for a long through ball. Somehow he decided that her tackle was a foul and inside the area though whether he could see that is debatable. The same assistant then managed to give their third goal with the scorer a good two yards offside. Pretty similar experience the previous week when I managed to get booked for “sarcasm” after the final whistle when telling the referee “Thanks for turning up”. These men are so sensitive!
