First interview for nearly a decade, what will I have forgotten?

I read it like the pedantic & hardworking sub editor wasn’t part of the problem solving solution so instead of them agreeing to work in a way that caused less bottlenecks work was diverted to other staff instead.

Ah, I see what you mean. Not it wasn't like that at all and obviously I would be giving much more detail when discussing it; we didn't just impose something on him unilaterally.

He very much was part of the discussion of the solution because he needed to be happy with it, and he and others agreed my workflow idea would work, and it did. Things had just inadvertently evolved so that he had too much for one person to be doing at one stage in the process.

I mean, it may not be the best example. I'm going to look through my past and current objectives - I've always met them, but maybe I'll just have to exaggerate something slightly. The best one there might be about promoting our journals within the organisation as a comms channel as we suffer from chronic silo-itis and my manager has said I'v e done a really good job of raising our profile so people are coming to us much more to actually put out their material through the journals.

Yes, I've had a few run throughs of the journals promotion thing today - it actually sounds reasonably OK. The next thing I need to do is read more of their research, think of questions for them, run over my achievements in general and also read the job description closely to ensure I definitely understand what it is.

I once went for a role a bit like this within my own organisation and the interview was rather painful as it soon became obvious I'd totally misunderstood what the role was, so I mustn't project too much of an idea of this as editorial onto it.

Have been having some interviews recently and came across this video. No one can be this confident but I'm sure there are a few things we can all pickup on.
He also has one on "your weaknesses."
