She has impeccable hip hop roots, I've got some old freestyles of hers. She just moved into jazz/rnb but she's all hip hop to me

Good call; I did think of mentioning that track too (-although tbh I never liked it myself). I remember it more for the Aswad sample in the bridge though, rather than for the main Barry White one.

The She Rockers were a quite good UK group (Betty Boo was a member before she went pop). Roxanne Shante is head & shoulders above the rest to me. When she starts cussing other rappers she kicks serious arse with her lyrics.
