Falkland islands, Troops placed on red alert

The Express seems like an experiment in what happens if a newspaper looks at what stories gets the most clicks on its website and hyper-focuses on them - I don't know if there are many people out there who get their news exclusively from the Express, but those who do must live in fear of Meghan Markle, aligned with the forces of wokeness, leading an invasion of the Falklands

There are quite a few right wing bellends out there, suggesting that the release of the Chagos Islands, which are permanently populated by approximately zero British citizens, are a precursor to negotiations over Gib and The Falklands, on which there are thousands.

Indeed, and that includes all four standing to become Tory leader, but they are just playing politics, to appeal to their membership.

With media outlets, the Express is frothing at the mouth more than even the likes of the Mail & GB News, because their readership tends to be even older, on average.

Both of those audiences no doubt think we shouldn't have even given up any of the bloody empire.

Anyone who thinks the Falklands are Argentinian, sniffs arseholes.

:D

Looks like we* signed a new agreement of cooperation with Argentina only a few weeks ago.

The Falkland Islands Legislative Assembly has welcomed the announcement of a new cooperation agreement between the UK and Argentina on a suite of matters relating the Falkland Islands and wider South Atlantic, which reflects the importance of collaboration on key issues which affect the Falkland Islands and Argentina, and the wider region. This agreement comes with no change in the individual positions of the Falkland Islands, United Kingdom, or Argentina, in regard to the sovereignty, or territorial or maritime jurisdiction over the Falkland Islands – as per the formula on sovereignty in paragraph 2 of the Joint Statement of 19 October 1989 between the United Kingdom and Argentina.
