Missing skunk on the loose, your neck of the woods I think rubbershoes

It's been a topic of conversation this week. The skunk went missing shortly after Buggalugs the pet turkey also disappeared. There was speculation that they may have eloped.

We'll probably never know the truth. Buggalugs was found dead so the skunk may be on the run

Echoes of the lord Lucan affair

Giving automatic weapons to people who failed all their GCSE's and then letting them roam national parks unsupervised in 'shit idea' shocker.

'Leadership' course...

Given that this is the same Royal Marines that employed a dissident Irish Republican who managed to siphon off an arsenal of their explosives and weapons in his Exminster tree house for years, I can't say I'm surprised either.

Some deer go for a wander around Derriford hospital in Plymouth

Rehearsals for Christmas.

A royal or two has also been in the marines.

Barney the skunk is home!

Someone a few miles away phoned an animal sanctuary because of a badger in their barn. How wrong they were.
Just seen that he was found in Wellington. That’s quite a wander isn’t it, and perhaps a bit of luck that whatever a skunk eats was available, no predators and he didn’t get hit by a car

Actually a serious story but I love the headline... View attachment 385832
Trebarwith Strand can be really dangerous. As a kid i stayed nearby there, near enough for dad to take us down onto the beach in his Austin A35 van, to collect seaweed (kelp) for the garden veg which he grew out of necessity to feed us all (this was approx 1964..). One day the tide came hurtling in, sinking the van in sand up to axles. A local farmer spotted our plight and came with tractor to free us just in time. Tis a beautiful spot, but great care required!

He was in Hemyock, but news people aren't sure how to pronounce and know that know their readers have never heard of it.

Barney was 7 miles from where they escaped but who knows, they may have been down to the coast for some paddle boarding
