As an utterly meaningless aside - this is the third time I’ve heard Sufjan Stevens being played in the stadium post match. Which is odd, maybe it’s meant to help clear the place.

i adore Sufjan and all his works, but most of it is best consumed behind closed doors with a single malt (or several).. The notion that the GB public is ready for it yet is ridiculous! More evidence that the centre isn't holding IMO

Anyone giving Belgium much of a chance v Sweden? I guess they got through a fairly difficult group, scored in every game, kept it close against France, and I think Sweden have some players out with coronavirus.... so, it's all adding up to: Evrard to save a penalty to keep her 100% record, shock Belgium win

Not so much this game but there have been some really accurate passes threaded through defences for wingers to run on to. The sort of passes that England men recently seemed to find so difficult.

I’m really enjoying the lack of fouling, diving and play acting in this match, compared with what I’m used to seeing in the men’s game. I don’t watch enough women’s football to know if this is typical, or whether this is just a good match, but it’s refreshing to see the play flowing.
