Euro 2022

There's a fair amount of shirt pulling when someone goes past them, but yes definitely seems to be less diving and play acting.

Keeping the French to a single goal is a damned impressive performance. Van Dee Gragt was brilliant. Shame that when they got good moves down either wing there was far too often no one in the box to pass to. And just not quite quick enough to the second ball. France, on the other hand, were excellent at everything bar getting the ball in the net.

The Dutch did make a few really good accurate crosses when they got it down the wing.

Good game to be at

We have arrived ridiculously early, cos it’s raining and the nice bars were full. So we thought we’d take advantage of our expensive, Tony Currie Suite, tickets. Where, for an extra £40, you get a good seat, somewhere vaguely pleasant to sit pregame. And one free pint of Heineken!

The Swedish fans were in good form on the way down.

I have a dilemma of divided loyalties tonight. My own Norman Tebbit cricket test! I’m a Brit but I got granted Swedish citizenship at the start of June, so who to support tonight?

I might have to wait and see how the emotions grab me during the match, to find out which my heart chooses, but my head thinks the habits of a lifetime don’t change so quick and that I’ll be cheering on England. I’ve already got the drinks setup for both eventualities though! 🇸🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

i am very envious of you belboid - you lucky person. Its gonna be so exciting!

Not a regular watcher of women's football but watching those lineups at the anthem it's not the most diverse of sports is it (and i say that as a cricket fan). Every single person, players, officials, coaches, physios - white.
