Great win that. Terrific spirit. Lucy Bronze was poor for 80 mins then remembered she's Lucy Bronze. Alessia Russo was immense, Lauren Hemp superb second half.

Can't help feeling that some of the joy of the women's game, particularly from England's perspective, is that precisely it largely flies under the radar of certain sections of the 'fandom' and press. Which, inevitably, leaves me worried about just what further success might bring with it.

Aye, and frankly, the England fans who booed that were notably quiet when England did it (which, sure, they're probably not gonna be properly audible about it
).But as skyscraper101 says, doesn't make it right for us to do it just 'cause others do too.
But, then, I have a particularly bugbear about the difference between "dangerous boot" and "stickin' yer bonce in a dangerous area".

No - it was for the dramatic reaction to the non existent kick to the head. I now realised that I was watching the game about 3 mins behind real time, so I can see how it might have seemed like I was being unnecessarily snarky.
I did hate all the time wasting and 'game management' but that's not to take anything away from an excellent England performance against a real quality team.

I'll say well done to the ref on that. The time wasting didn't work. Just got them four mins of extra time and a yellow card.
