How about "Cambridge Analytica" and "Alt Right." The two countries share both.

*shrugs*

I really am not following the Brexit thing. Several of my fb friends keep me up to date with the latest scandals or whatever. Can't say I ever really read them. It's seems complicated and my only reaction is "glad Quebec didn't vote to separate".
Ever since pbman was here, I have been trying to understand the US government. With Trump, it would seem that I'm taking a crash course. My reaction to their woes is "glad there is a border between us and them".

eta: might not know much about Brexit, but Scotland really should be it's own country.

I'm keeping an eye on both because I have feet in both camps, and the links are manifold. Lots of the same players, dodgy money from the same sources, same paid trolls/bot accounts used to push the pro Leave and the pro Trump campaigns.

Scotland as a separate nation within the EU instead of being spliced to an insular, backwards "Kingdom" with self-serving, incompetent leaders (and bizarrely abetted by the opposition,) determined to swan dive over a social, economic and political cliff? Sure.

Rashida Tlaib to be sworn in on Thomas Jefferson’s Quran

thomas jefferson was a commielibrulmuslimcuck anyway

You're not far off. He attended a Unitarian church and was friends with Joseph Priestly, a Unitarian minister. He also compiled something now known as The Jeffersonian Bible. It was a compilation of all of the "red" words (aka words spoken by Jesus, rather than Paul).* Those are all about the same as a Satanist in Evangelical circles these days. Just owning a Koran puts you in suspect territory.

* a growing movement on the left is "Red Letter Christians". They claim to take the words of Jesus over the words of Paul as the ultimate word in Christianity. Imagine that.
