Talk of wax works always reminds me of my wonderfully mad and unique mother.

On a family holiday - a long time ago - we were visiting some wax works somewhere and my mum decide to climb into one of the displays and stand there stock-still like one of the wax models. Then she'd suddenly say hello to people. I was much too young to see the funny side of it and was mortally embarrassed at the time.

God how I miss her.
