I don’t think he puts much thought into his actions. I think he’s one of those zombies that has a low cunning instinct for the main chance and lumbers in that direction regardless of the damage he does in the process.
I don’t think he’s informed about the evangelical thing at all, but he’s watching the same bullshit video feeds they are and taking his cue from what he’s gorging on and how it makes him feel. He thinks of himself as instinctive and gut-smart and takes pride in acting on that ersatz instinct, deriding those who spend time reading and thinking and discussing ideas.
Nor is he the least bit interested in what real Jewish people are really saying and thinking in real life, especially those in a far off land that probably has about as much reality for him as something he sees on the TV.
