I doubt if anybody has considered it, but the manner of England's departure from the European Championship has some parallels with the nations political uncoupling with Europe, eh?
Northern Ireland.

Smashed the qualifiers tho.Hodgson has to be the problem. I think it's ten matches in Championships and only 3 wins
Who did you say was trolling the other thread?I feel sowwy for the fans
England just didn't show upEngland were outclassed and outplayed by the sheer passion of Iceland, and it was the same story in the stands. Fantastic team, fantastic fans.
Got to be pleased for the people of France.Does that flag say "cod army"?
Yes. Grimsby fans i believe.Does that flag say "cod army"?
To qualify for the Euros and to get to the quarterfinals requires more than just passion . I think we are missing a trick here about their coaching organisation and tactics . I'd offer their manager the England job now.England were outclassed and outplayed by the sheer passion of Iceland, and it was the same story in the stands. Fantastic team, fantastic fans.
After the match there was a massive difference in the behaviour of the players from the earlier match today. Italy v Spain were all hugs, smiles and congratulations. England were just sitting around feeling sorry for themselves and not interested in congratulating their worthy opponents. It sort of illustrates the difference between true Europeans and the English.
CameronSo, who's a good candidate for the next England manager? Ranieri?
Yup. Cod wars. It's a Euro thing I think.Does that flag say "cod army"?
What's your point caller?Who did you say was trolling the other thread?
It's Hodgson's fault that the British football system doesn't encourage home grown talent but instead invests heavily in foreign players?Hodgson has to be the problem. I think it's ten matches in Championships and only 3 wins

Fantastic stereotyping there. What is it about the true European that stands out for you. After the match there was a massive difference in the behaviour of the players from the earlier match today. That said, I would have loved to have been in the same stadium as those Iceland fans. What an atmosphere.Cameron

You have to feel sorry for all those IT guys spending all their holiday days and savings and turning up to watch the premiership's finest English players get turned over by fucking Iceland. It's awful for the fans. They didn't even play their best team. They seem to have been resting them for the flight home
Believe me, if Italy or Spain had lost to Iceland playing like that, they'd have been exactly the same. After the match there was a massive difference in the behaviour of the players from the earlier match today.
