My favourite memories were hanging out in camp urban nattering with various urbs who happened to be around. I don't want to do a name call, because I will be sure to miss out a name by mistake

And thanks to you for finding me ice and things to clean my nails with. Your organisational skills are awe-inspiring

Well, made it back in the end... after some trauma in being let down on a lift to Basingstoke after the last of the urbanites had set off in their van :(

A bit broken now right enough - what a top wee festival that is - think it might even rank as better than last years, which officially qualified as the-best-festival-I've-ever-been-to last year...

was super cool to meet and hang out with lots of lovely new urbs too - you know who you are :) (I am too hazy currently to reconcile board names with actual names...)

muchos spledinferous fun was had by all methinks

am going to eat, watch a film and go to bed now.

What did you do?
Thanks to enthusiastic threads here, urban75 collectively made up over 1% of the crowd and hopefully contributed in some small way to the festival's success.

I imagine we'll get even more people down there next year judging by the responses of those who went, too.
It's a great event and I've never known so many people at a festie!

Camp Urban had a charitable side too. These two sad souls were given shelter and succor ;)

i was in dorset as well this weekend. meems and i were having a weekend away from the smoke about 15 miles away and had the time of our lives. and yet despite having achieved the weekend of the year so far, we both have now read this thread and concluded that we ARE SO NOT FUCKING MISSING IT NEXT YEAR IT'S SCARY. looks like the festy of the year.

That was the bees knees

Lovely festival - great atmosphere, just the right size, fab weather and music, and some lovely people :)

I'd do a nice to meet role call but frankly I can't remember everyone I met as the cider and cocktails have left my brain slightly fuzzy

I am *so* there again next year!

there was some bloke there that when I saw him from behind in the crowd, I kept thinking to myself "is that Bluestreak?" seemed like you should have been there mate!

If you turn up next year, you will move from TEH FAIL (2007) to TEH WIN (2008) in one easy year :D :p

must have been one of my many clones. apparently they are everywhere... one day i'm gonna write a novel about it!

Of course there will be so many people there next year that you'll all be complaining that it's got too big and it's not as good as it used to be :D

That was an absolute blinder! Hats off to Flounder & Pronghorn for putting together a superb little festival. :D

Photos here including several which I have to confess I have no recollection of taking whatsoever.

You're all nutters. Thanks for your company. :D

Brilliant photos everyone.

And for those who aren't keen on stinky loos, they were the cleanest festy toilets I've ever seen. :D

Lovely festival, I've had a fun but very chilled weekend.

That crazy little man with the fez who was playing cool elevator style music from a little wheelie box with a palm tree on top of it last night.

that's George from the Splott Brothers - those two are ace, and actually live in Splott! Show up everywhere, always brilliant

off work ill today - either a bug or some nasty after effect - so uploading pics now. Still don't have the energy for a proper write-up but i honestly think it's the best festy around.

At risk of rattling a few cages, i think what makes it so special compared with other festivals of a similar size is that it's not run by hippies - the people who run it are very much into punk, rockabilly, country etc and it shows in the line-up. There's a few trad festy bands around like Tarantism (shudder) but mainly you get a much broader range - IMO - than you would elsewhere.

Flouder, Ffi and Lamma (and the rest of the team) do fucking wonders and it's to their credit that they're not over-reaching themselves / bumping up capacity etc. Just absolutely perfect in every way...
