Egypt anti-government protests grow

I find the footage of people recording themselves on their mobiles while posing on military vehicles to be quite surreal, especially when combined with footage of people wandering calmly between military vehicles, and conversely a little footage here and there showing aggro between protesters and what certainly look like military vehicles.

Mubarak is finished. Game over. Expect news of him leaving soon

Lets hope so.

Not all good news if the Egyptians risked their lives and liberty only to have the US dictate their new leader and move them in 'smoothly'. This revolution could not only be stolen, but by the very background actors who caused it in the first place.

E2a: sorry if im making points already made but im still two hours behind on this thread which is a brilliant read and a credit to all participants. Ive had no tv or radio contact so this has been a great resource.

Fire is just across the street from the museum now. Egyptian military and police guarding it from potential looters.

And now Yemen? Zimbabwe? Iran?

Come on, haven't got all day, let's watch all the parasites flee their Cubby Broccoli inspired lairs!

.

Nah, this is only good news. It just isn't the end of the struggle, that's all.

Goes without saying: at least so far the Egyptian removal of dictatorships did not involve the mass theft of museums... unlike the precious Iraqi troves that the US military pillaged from the museums.

Loud and clear above everything is the global sentiment: Team America are not the World Police, they are not required, and it's their shit that led to this shit. Kissinger must be passing blood in his colostomy bag looking at the last weeks news.

An interesting effect: change your dictators yourself or American fuckwits will do it for you.

Beautiful. The old wizened outstretched hand of civilization once more resembles the Nile.

'National dialogue, not chaos.'

"I'll give you basic services if you behave"

LOL, this prick still thinks he's in charge :D
