Dugin's daughter killed in car bomb attack

What a cunt he is

Dugin has long been a gadfly for Putin. In 2014, Dugin was an enthusiastic supporter of the annexation of Crimea and the pro-Russian uprisings in Ukrainian cities of the Donbas. He advocated the creation of Novorossiia , or New Russia, throughout eastern and southern Ukraine, and said in a video to followers, "I think we should kill, kill, kill [Ukrainians], there can't be any other talk."

frogwoman et al.

A fash publisher, with a translation thanks to a Dugin follower, has released in English the first of several planned volumes of the writings of the classical emigre Eurasianists called The Foundations of Eurasianism.

Maybe get hold of free ebooks, or used hardback copies if interested, instead of contributing to the coffers of people who'd have us killed if they could.

Yeah, I wouldn't pay for that stuff. Any idea where to get the ebooks? The translation I had for 4th political theory was very poor

No ebooks yet, saw hardback copies on Amazon. Won't link to anything, it's fash scum of course, but I think it's worth having a look at if it can happen without directly contributing to them.

Turns out it was the Ukrainians after all...

(Or "elements" in the Ukrainian government)

I think I'm more interested in the reasons why US intelligence is coming out in public to lay the blame on the Ukrainian government...

What advantages does this give to Team America?
  • It shows the world the US has limits on its warfare, in the face of nuclear threats.
  • It implies the US is keeping Ukraine on a tight leash to threaten Putin with the release of this control if he escalates.
  • The US ruling class doesnā€™t want to be poisoned, fall out of a window or blown up, as has been threatened recently by Putin propagandists. See here: Putin Crony Says He Drafted Russian ā€˜Kill Listā€™ of Western Officials

Still seems like a strange/soft target, presumably chosen because her security wasn't as top-notch as a government official/oligarch. From the Guardian:

During todayā€™s Kremlin briefing, Kremlin spokesperson Dimitry Peskov was asked about Wednesdayā€™s New York Times report which revealed that United States intelligence agencies believed parts of the Ukrainian government authorised the car bomb attack near Moscow in August that killed Daria Dugina, the daughter of a prominent Russian nationalist.

The report said that US officials feared this was an element of a covert campaign that could widen the conflict.

Peskovā€™s response was that Russian intelligence had always argued that Ukraine was behind the August killing of Darya Dugina so it was ā€œpositiveā€ that the United States appeared to share that assessment.

Kyiv on Thursday rejected the claims it was involved in the attack.

Are they though? I only saw a lot of those old "unnamed sources". Bit of a non-story.

Whether or not it is true the fact that US "sources" are saying it is true makes it a story. I don't doubt that there are people in the Ukrainian establishment willing to commission this kind of action. If true, I'm surprised that they could bomb somebody so prominent the centre of Moscow; but there again: "what goes clink-click bang?"
