Nope, most polls had Biden clearly winning the last presidential election:
Former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee, had an average polling lead of 7.9 percentage points over incumbent President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee. Biden would win the national popular vote by 4.4 percentage points.

Elections for the Presidency are not won by winning the most votes, but by winning the most electoral college votes. Hilary Clinton outpolled Trump in 2016 and Gore got half a million more votes than Bush jnr in 2000. The electoral college system favours the Republicans as low population, rural states have more electors per voter than industrial, densely populates states (which tend to be Democrat). Wyoming for instance has one electoral college vote per 190,000 people; California one for 780,000 people.

Isn't this in danger of becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy? I mean if enough voters get it into their heads that Trump is destined to win, then they won't bother turning up at the ballot box and there you have it.
The fact that Trump failed to secure a second term in spite of the incumbent's advantage, the gerrymandering, the voter suppression, and all the other stuff should be taken as a signal that nothing is set in stone. I fail to see how giving in to fatalism helps anyone apart from the MAGA lot.
I think I'm right in saying that 2004 is the only time the Republican candidate has got more votes than the Democrat since 1988.

Well he's not wrong on Irans fortunes having changed though I doubt anybody at State , Defense or even Isreal is sharing much with him...
Israel Saudi were supposed to sign a deal last week , Gaza and response put paid to that, Saudis met Iranians instead...Yanks were kinda 'hoping' that deal would have lowered oil prices (handy for inflation, refilling the strategic reserves and election prospects)
