danny la rouge
More like *fanny* la rouge!
For ironing clothes.
I believe in it: I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I just don’t hold with it.Never have, never will. I don't believe in ironing.
If other people can believe in god(s) that they've never seen then I don't see why I can't not believe in something I have seen.I believe in it: I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I just don’t hold with it.
You know you didn't need to iron it the night beforeThe thing I hated most about having a proper job was fucking having to iron a shirt the night before.
I then ended up ironing others washing for a living afterwards. I can do it, I'm quite good at it, but I fucking hate it.
Not just any old iron thenFor ironing clothes.
I could have done it in the morning, but I'd have been just as miserable about itYou know you didn't need to iron it the night before
Yes but only used when dress-making, MrsW that is. I can sew on a button or patch and that's it. Perhaps does a fancy outfit for a night out once a year too.
Distinguish from golf club. Or tyre maybeNot just any old iron then
You could have done five shirts in half an hour over the weekend and not had to bother during the week. Or bought shirts that don't need ironing. I used to do the former, now I do the latterI could have done it in the morning, but I'd have been just as miserable about it

Our toddler plugged it in hotplate down on a laminate floor last month, only realised when it started to sizzleOh that is the one situation I think ironing is useful for, if you're sewing something you sometimes absolutely need to make sure the fabric is flat without creases. Good call.
I know that one! Just being pedantic. It's a lyric from an old song...
Any old iron? Any old iron?
Any, any, any old iron?
You look neat! Talk about a treat!
You look a dapper from your napper to your feet
Dressed in style with a brand new tile
And your father's old green tie on
I wouldn't give you tuppence for your old watch-chain
Old iron, old iron!
A rather wooden responseI know that one! Just being pedantic.
