Worse than James Corden and Coldplay covering "Purple Rain" to commemorate Prince's birthday?

Worse than Towie?

Worse than Milf Manor?

You're a very bad person.
I haven’t seen Milf Manor. But worse than Towie for sure. Even worse than that awful cowboy show from the 60s that everyone hated.

In preparation for Skeleton Crew & after 40 years, finally decided to watch Caravan of Courage - An Ewok Adventure.

Godawful stuff, and one for young viewers only. It feels like one of those less than successful fantasy films from the era, but not as engaging.

Mace and Cindel have crashed on Endor, their parents are missing so they team up with the Ewoks to go on a quest to find them.

Mace is a budding space thug and keeps getting into increasingly stupid perils. He is the most annoying SW character ever and thankfully the internet wasnt around back then, because the actor would have been hounded mercilessly.

It feels a bit like those pre-main feature Disney docs they used to show at the pictures in the 70s. Burl Ives, folk singer and HUAC snitch, narrates.

Fionnula Flanagan briefly shows up, which is one of the few saving graces.

I managed 30 minutes of Rivals. I would have tapped out after five minutes but I could hear this thread egging me on to give it a bit more of a go.
30 minutes is surely enough to get the measure of it. Unless it takes a quite radical turn in the last 20 minutes, I can fairly confidently say . . . it's absolute shit.
Just painful to watch.

I don’t fancy it, but DLR hated The Americans too, so maybe I should reconsider.
oh shit did he? christ does that mean I've got to watch 'rivals' too. I suspect a spy/mrs spy situation in the FA household though; I'll bail early doors, mrs fa will be all over it.

danny la rouge - have you seen White Lotus?

I didn’t get far into episode one. Everything was screaming bad Eighties early Saturday evening show I wouldn’t have watched ironically, stoned. It seemed terrible. And I don’t care if it gets better. It would need to have changed cast, crew, director, writers, camera style, and plot. Which maybe it did. But I don’t care and I’ll never know.

Yes. Loved it. Preferred season one, but enjoyed season two as well. It had Aubrey Plaza, which is never a bad thing.

I seldom share opinions of taste with you. But, right?

I suspect it may be fun as collective experience if you all share the same sense of humour, but for me it was a horrendously flat experience. And the severely stylised over-telegraphed, hammy acting made it too painful to watch.

I am not digging the moustache, took me ages to work out where I vaguely recognised him from (and I watched all of Poldark).

Before the tv died, i watched the sequel "Ewoks - Battle for Endor"

It ups the 80s fantasy vibes of the previous film, kills off the most annoying character from it, and has Sian Phillips and Carel Struycken as the villains. So, a bit of an improvement.

Oh, and the Blurrgs.

This could be essential viewing or clumsily handled

So far, so good. Surprised this hasn't got more attention.

Disney’s thumbnail for it on their menu is quite misleading. It makes it look like some worthless unwatchable American tv romcom or drama potboiler. The only reason I know it isn’t is from your heads up and the title (as I was aware of Patrick Radden Keefe’s book)

The book uses a similar image, but it you get a more accurate impression of the content

Suppose the subject matter will be controversial for some, which was a shame as (going by the first episode) it's gripping viewing.
