Diane Abbott suspended as Labour MP.

In fairness he posted the only thing I've ever found to be even vaguely human-sounding from his account just now, so maybe there's hope for us all. Or it's a one-off because it's something personal and he'll otherwise continue to work off his internal checklist of boring babble-dogma about woke Stalinism vs "decentralised" capitalism, I guess, but it was at least refreshing to see an actual person in there somewhere, if only briefly.

I would say this country has a lot more to overcome on this subject.

I've been holding an interest mobile motor homes or the "Van life" as some people may call it.

Even just rocking up in a van on your own will attract the wrath of some people, if they notice.

In the UK we have a culture of being really pissed off with any kind of mobile home owners pitching up anywhere they're not paying for that privilege.

I'm sure there's all sorts of racism and prejudice against the travelling community, but my point is that's not the only thing the country has to overcome. Culturally, people seem to hate others parking up somewhere for free overnight and living in their vehicle etc ... I just don't get that attitude.
I knew I’d seen you in one of the Nicola Sturgeon threads.

I never thought much of her because she seemed a bit too friendly with Andrew Neil and Michael Portillo on that BBC2 late night politics show.

No, I missed that one.
Which is fortunate, I might have cringed hard enough to snap my perineum.
Brace yourself…

When right wing (Ethnic Minorities/Gays/Women) are sharing their experiences that you don't agree with or believe, if it doesn't follow your narrative, or agree with your politics, you're going to tell them to "fuck off", but if they happen to be right wing White/Straight/Male you're going to accuse them of hating minorities, the same minorities, that you tell to fuck off as if to mind their own business about their own experiences, because in your mind, their experiences and opinions aren't as "valid" yours.

Time to look in the mirror and check your privilege.
Am Irish and bisexual ya dope.

All right wingers can fuck off. You're the enemy, no matter how much you garland your message.

You set out to destroy this thread, you have fuck all respect for Diane Abbott, nor do you give a damn about bigotry.

I've ignored a lot of personal attacks in order to keep this thread on topic.

I don't understand why I should have to have respect for someone just because they're an elected Labour MP.

It's a bit hypocritical to complain that one right winger doesn't respect Diane Abbot, when you're admitting there isn't a single right winger you respect.

If "all right wingers can fuck off" then it's obvious that you're the bigot around here.

All that anger and bitterness is bad for your health, you need to sort yourself for your own sake. If you need any help with that, you're more than welcome to send me a private message.

As for Keir Starmer. No fan of his and I have less respect for him than Diane Abbot. I'm not a lawyer but I can't see how you can gauge a man's character from his legal opinion. Looking at that incident in Sussex, maybe the laws weren't robust enough at the time to deal with such a clearly hateful incident?

You missed the part where the attack is heavily weighted with identity politics :hmm:

What are your views on cyclists?
I don't have any.

Careful you don’t hit one then :D

That goes without saying. We all know that incident was about identity politics. The problem is or was, as blatant as the incident was, there probably wasn't anything that Starmer could have nailed them with. It was one of those things that fell through the cracks of the law.

Maybe the police could have a done a "What's going on here then? I'll tell you what, you're all comitting a public order offence pack it in or else .... "

They don't pass as English. They are English as is Abbott.
Well a racist fuckwit would argue anyone of colour can't be "English" but would possibly include Jews and the Irish if they didn't look too Jewish or Irish 🙄.
Not sure which is funnier an Ulster prod being told your Irish or a republican being told your basically English🤣
