Decent headphones not too expensive (up to £50)

What I really want is these Beyerdynamic DT 100's as recommended by atomic suplex on another thread. Exactly what I am talking about but they cost too damn much.

Metal detector headphones would be cool. I wonder why they would have good sound quality when they usually only play 'bleep bleep bleep' all the time, seems like overengineering to me :p

They don't just 'bleep bleep' believe me. Different pitches tell you different metals. They charge an arm and leg for top M.D. headphones.
Grey Ghost are well used and are around £100 new.

Koss Porta Pro got them for £20 a couple of years ago. The sound is excellent for the price and they pack small.

They don't look that good and I've got my hair caught in the band a few times though.

Skullcandy Grinds seem to get good reviews everywhere except for What HiFi and they're only 20 quid

What HiFi say stuff like "lack of space and refinement across the frequencies, pancake flat dynamics, and sloppy timing" which is surely total bollocks? Apparently "competitors offer much more in the way of transparency, rhythm and cohesion for the same money" but I think they're just chucking three descriptors from their special list into every sentence
