Grrr. Too many clouds. Couldn't even get a big enough gap to locate the plough.

Was looking out of the attic bed window and when there was gaps I could see more stars than I've ever seen. Probably due to lack of pollution.

Probably Jupiter, south about 30 degrees up?

Not sure of the elevation as the roof ridge obscures the horizon.

It will be above the horizon after sunset, until about 1am. But it is getting fainter and the moon will be full on Monday. You might still be able to spot it in binoculars.

The easiest way is to use the Heavens Above website. They have a phone app but that only seems to be for satellites.
