Thought we played well enough to win that in the second half but in the first half for all our pressure we didn't really trouble their keeper . Cahills slip proved costly for their first goal and the second was just one of those things. All credit to that kid who came on in goal for them though.

Yes a couple of "easier" games coming up, City have too so we have to get the consistency and confidence up and running again sharpish.
Drogba is on fire at the moment and is lifting the whole team when he is on the pitch. He could help José big time over the next few weeks. I'd be inclined to start these games with him at Costa's expense.

I do worry about Cahill though, if there's a weak link in Mourinho's first-choice 11 then it's him. He's been lucky to avoid a red card a few times this season.

It was a good win. Stoke is a horrible place to go and it is such an achievement to get three points up there.
That's probably because they play Rugby in a Football League.

Nobody wants to go to Stoke on a cold December night apart from Chelsea . Mixed it physically but movement and skill was a class above.

Surprisingly non descript performance by West Ham with the exception if their keeper. Thought we looked really balanced with Costa working intelligently and very hard , his turn when he wring footed ghree players was quite superb .
