Not much to add to all the praise being humped on us in the meedya, the new buzz word for them will be "perfect" as opposed to "invincible".
The early goal was massive and maybe prevented another Sunderland where the home fans went home well pleased with a 0-0 draw.

Im pleased to see Cech back in goal, he has a calming influence on the back four, they in turn keep shape which spreads up to the midfield, the whole team look more organised. His distribution and influence are so much better than Courtois. Im not putting Courtois down by a long chalk, im just saying that he needs to know he is still only the second best goalkeeper in the world :D
 
Yeah I expected Zouma to keep his place too, hes looking the part but possibly Jose doesnt want Cahill to lose his confidence.
Weve got 3 cup games before the clash with City, the strength of the squad will prove itself over the next couple of weeks and give Jose a real chance to test different combinations.
 
Games are coming thick and fast now ,Capitol one cup, fa cup , champs league as well as the weekly league fixtures so now is when we should see how good the depth of the squad is with Luis, Shuurle, Rameires, Zuma and Salah . Yesterday was just brilliant and that third goal was exceptional.
 
Luis improves with minutes, Zouma's a fine stand-in, Ramirez is always dependable and Schurle was much better yesterday.

Fuck knows about Salah....get rid of him and trade up.
 
Bit of a waste of time tonight really what with a second leg to come anyway, still, home advantage to The Blues now.

I watched the game on Sky but i think they must have shared the commentary with LFCTV such was the bias :D

Watched a live feed with Yank pundits :facepalm: omg - the shite they come out with!
 
Good little game I thought but we gave the ball away so many times and our passing was generally sloppy. Happy with the away goal and the draw although would have been happier with the win. I think Liverpool really had to win this and by two goals to have a real chance if getting to the Final and let's face it it's their only chance if silverware. Was intrigued that Mourinho made no subs until the game was virtually over .

They do after extra time - so if it's still 1-1 after 90 mins they play for another half hour - if no one scores then the away goal for Chelsea would win them the tie.

Yeah i'd expect Chelsea to be a bit more attacking - but they won't go gung-ho, an early Liverpool goal would make it interesting.

I can't imagine the stick Gerrard's gonna get if he plays :) I'm sure if he does start he'll be shooting from all fucking angles again trying to ease the pain!
