The statues will be placed at eight of the city's landmarks, such as the Wales Millennium Centre and St David's Hall.

They will spend three weeks in the Welsh capital as part of a UK tour.

The intu Elephant Parade is supporting the Asian Elephant Foundation, a charity helping conservation projects.

Previous parades have visited cities around the world, starting in Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 2007. Since then the pieces have been seen in places as varied as Amsterdam, Singapore, Milan and Copenhagen.
