car people: can i replace my broken radio aerial & if so what with?

Yeah, I would check with somewhere like Halfords, but if it is too expensive, just go with a FM transmitter as suggested by 5t3IIa, I use one to stream Radio Caroline to the FM set in my van.

I use it to steam or play music from my phone plus it makes the google maps satnav come out of the car speakers. I love it so much.

yep, it will be a longer trip than it would be in most other cars.

i have done a DIY, and it actually seems to work!!
is picking up radio , at least when parked outside the house.
Also it looks extremely sophisticated.

Yomper will build the cars with either 225 or 275 wheelbases (presumably denoting a length in millimetres)

That works out as a 9" or 11" wheelbase. Bit on the small side.

I’m still using the handcrafted bespoke wire antenna. Seems fine apart from when going really fast (which means above 60) then it whistles a bit .
