Bungpuss finally up before the beak.

I like harry - hes old school.

It would appear that his financial dealings are a bit old school as well - but the jury let him off for being a cheeky chappie.

I don't want to give it the satisfaction of me liking it though.

Is this board american or something? What's wrong with a good old dislike?

Tabloids are salivating at the thought of Twitch as England manager, gives a good qoute ol' Arry, they hate Capello cause he dos'nt give a shite about them and has never hidden his complete indifference and contempt for them.

I seriously dont understand why Capello's contract renewal is even up for debate. He's been totally competent since he took over. He does need a massive pay-cut mind you. £4m a year is absurd.

He's leaving after Euro 2012 though isn't he? Think it's £6 million he's on,which I imagine makes him the highest paid International manager in the World.

His contract's up, yes. But not sure why they're not renewing it. He's been the most succesful England manager for a while, altho that isnt saying much I guess :D

He doesn't want it. In fact he showed signs of wriggling after the World Cup fiasco. Seems like he might still want out. Not much left on his contract so he could walk away by "mutual consent" and avoid the ignominy of another tournament failure. I'd like to see him go just for the fact he views Micah as the 5th best English right back. Clown.

Bet the FA are rethinking their stance on Capello at their meeting today now!

Indeed. He's not even in the top 10.

I'm sure he could muster a few more ideas:

1.Johnson
2.Walker
3.Smalling
4.Jones
5.Ledley
6.Milner
7.Jagielka
8.That kid from Liverpool
9.Some Arsenal youth player
10.Someone from the Championship
11.Micah Richards

I don't think much is going to change today. Capello will stay on and we will head to another tournement with a bag-load of controversy and in-fighting, where we will of course fail to get out of the group. We're always hopeless in the Euros and this is one of the worst England sides for years.

harry cant really do much. his skill lies in the transfer market, which is obviously not available to him as a national coach.

He is good in the transfer market, but he's also a great motivator, organiser and gets the best out of average to good players.

Its been quoted that he's pretty ruthless and the players know that if they don't perform they will be OUT on their ears no matter.

England could do with a dose of that after the repeated selection of Fabios favs!

Right, so it's the next morning - and I'm still baffled by his 'innocence'.

How much evidence do they need to convict someone? He flies to Monaco, sets up a secretive bank account, £190k is dropped into it by his boss, he admits to a reporter whos recording the conversation that it's a bung for the sale of Crouch.. how the hell did he manage to slip off the hook?

Keep up at the back. He claimed in court that his earlier statement to a reporter was a lie and he only did it to get the reporter out of his hair. He has low regard for reporters for obvious reasons, lying to them would not bother him. It is possible and the jury accepted it. He was very assertive in the court that he was now telling the truth and referred to the fact that he was under oath. The thing that reinforces this is that the amount of tax avoided is minuscule compared to his enormous salary.

But that was clearly untrue - how the hell would telling a NoTW reporter that he'd accepted a bung get the reporter out of his hair? At the very least it's a bizarre strategy as surely it would only encourage the reporter to dig even deeper.

Just to check something I keep seeing thrown about loads, did he really say, under oath, that he's never sent an email, text message or fax in his life?

And this was accepted?

I know there are plenty of people of a certain age who don't 'do' technology, but I find it hard to believe that a Premier League manager / director of football involved in club and financial matters has never communicated using these mediums.

Chinny reckon, in fact.

If it was true would he really have told a NoTW reporter?

Yes, he did. Also that he's never written a letter :D
