Have you put the heating on?

Tis cold tonight

I've already got me jumper on

Might retire to bed with a book soon

I will not switch the darned heating on yet .. will not!

I had mine on for an hour or so the other weekend. Back to extra jumpers again now, and it's quite mild tonight - 10° according to the beeb.

I got a bit cold yesterday sat at home doing nothing, but my cycle ride home and a hefty portion of baked spuds and sprouts has done the trick even though it's only reading 17 degrees in here.
I may swap my damp socks for some dry ones though and get under the covers.

There may well be bananas and custard in a bit.

Log burner has been on for the past week. I'm sat right now on the floor next to it. Will try and last till Nov for central heating.

Half hour in the morning, half hour before tea and half hour before bed. It's actually pretty warm right now. Thought it was going to be nightmare house to heat because the ground floor's completely open plan (except for the loo) but using the oven to make dinner heats the whole house up this way.

Our heating has gone on, but it doesn't seem to be very effective (first winter I've lived here). Going to turn the radiator in my room right up and think about investing in an electric heater.

We've disabled our heating so that the one housemate who wussily moans about the cold can't put it on. We're all far too poor for fripperies like heating.

He's from Torquay mind so used to warmer climes

Bloody hell.
I had to install a PC for a new member of staff at work today and they had the heating cranked up so much I could hardly breathe. Even in my shorts and tee shirt it was unbearable.
If I'd been billeted in there, I would have had to insist on being moved.
What it's like if all 8 people are in, I dread to think.

I got my oil filled radiator out of the cupboard this afternoon as my parents came round. They've gone now and my daughter's in bed so I've put another top on and turned it off.

Of course the heating is on. I don't see any benefit or virtue in being cold.

I will try and leave it as long as possible before I turn the central heating on, but it's to do with money rather than anything else

Not a chance, I've still got the windows open. I've only just relented and stopped wearing flip flops. :D

Boy doesn't like heating on. Right now I'm sat under a duvet, he's sat in shorts. I've slept in leggings last few nights brrrr

The heating's not on yet, but the dehumidifier is, and at least one mouse has decided it's warmer in here than outside.

Bathroom radiator has gone on for baths. Hall one has been on to dry out some sodden shoes. Think that's all. I live in a warm block.

We've had the log burner on a few times, we've all had colds though so couldn't bear to have the heating on as it was really difficult to breathe.
I'm do try and hold off if I can but only because of having a massive gas bill once and not wanting to be in that situation again.

It switched itself on again last night, despite the thermostat being turned down to 12 degrees.
Now turned down to zero :D

We had a fire last night, but I think that was more a case of mr moose getting in touch with his inner caveman than for heat purposes. He's got a load of wood out of a skip.

The poor mite will freeze to death - it's tropical in that part of the world! :D

Trying to extend my previous rule of "no CH before October" to the start of November this year, because it's unseasonably warm and because I've got extra better warmer wool garments than I used to.

went on last night for first time, was also trying to leave it and dreamt of making it to start of November
partner wasn't having it, despite their llama top!

I was fucking FREEZING last night! Luckily the fella feels it as much as me, even though he's a total radiator himself. I still ended up wearing two fleecy jumpers and a longsleeved tee, plus thermal socks and slippers.

Haven't really felt the need, always try lasting til November. Then we don't have it on in the morning on work days - and only from about 6-10 at night on work days -
