So I went to a rave type thing at the Ton of Bricks last night. It sounded like the old 414 but with absolutely none of the sense of fun, soul and community. Could have been anywhere.

So I went to a rave type thing at the Ton of Bricks last night. It sounded like the old 414 but with absolutely none of the sense of fun, soul and community. Could have been anywhere.

What sort of music was it? I miss the hard house and psy trance events they had there. And being greeted and looked after (and sometimes told off ) by Tony and Louise.

In terms of them hogging the pavement, is the old smoking area upstairs no longer in use?

It was kind of hard housey stuff. I'm not really a fan but it was the people and the staff that made the 414 so special. The spiral staircase has long gone as has the upstairs smoking area.
