Britain's biggest morons burn cardboard Grenfell Tower on bonfire

Glass houses springs to mind here, as so often with comments like this
simple point: you asked about public order, the relevance of.

they have been nicked.

they have not been charged with public order offences.

i doubt that any public order charge will emerge from this: the police have, i think, simply detained them using this pretext while they consider what if any crime has been committed.

when or if they're charged with public order offences then you may have a point. until then you don't.

social media the doom of fuckwits they are going to be identified and it's going to hurt:D
if they'd been edgy teens it would have been a shitty thing to do but being allegedly adults is going to hurt them and rightly so.
the tory boy who wrote fuck the nhs is a massive twat and needs to grow the fuck up.

these guys have no excuse and somebody spent half an hour making that uploading it will get them done when the PM thinks your a dick your not walking away from this. chances are drugs child porn or weapons will be found at a search of their houses even if Mi5 have to plant it:D*

* their spook's morals they don't have and it can be written off as a useful training exercise:p

Or St Mary Cray or round those parts

What is the purpose here of painting a whole community in this way? I've just had a look and about 15% of the community were born outside of the EU. Are these exonerated from the charge? Also, what value is there in finding out where these bellends live before concluding they represent the views of thousands of other people??

Yeah, it’s starting to get a bit sneery towards wc areas.

I’m only commenting on the fairly large houses I have noticed there with flagpoles and cross of St George - not something I’ve noticed before in my travels! It’s an observation not a sneer .

a long-standing infamy... i'd say welling qualifies as having a long-standing infamy, being as the bnp bookshop was based there for many years, that there's a history of venues in the area hosting blood and honour gigs, and of course the murder of stephen lawrence. doesn't mean everyone there's white trash or indeed white or racist or fascist, but that it is an area many people would associate with the far right.

The term Morons makes them sound almost enduringly likable village idiots, probably not the correct noun for them.

ETA: though I don't think they're any political party affliates, just racists

Five arrests over Grenfell Tower bonfire

The men have been arrested under section 4a of the Public Order Act 1986, which covers intentional "harassment, alarm or distress" caused via the use of "threatening, abusive or insulting" words or signs.

Offences committed on a private residence where a person "had no reason to believe" it would be "heard or seen by a person outside that or any other dwelling" are protected from prosecution under the act.

It may also be worth the forum's legal experts considering whether the two men aged 49 and the others aged 19, 46 and 55 have committed any offences relating to malicious communications under the Communications Act 2003 (or similar legislation).
