Possibly because 'Muslim' has become inextricably interlinked with 'terrorist'.

Therefore it won't be a crime to plaster their faces over the front pages of the papers & for people to boycott their workplaces until they are sacked.I doubt if it was a crime either. Utterly fucking loathsome, but not a crime.

I think you could be right, although 'hate crime' offences are still being defined by the courts, so it's possible a prosecution could be brought, and leave it to the courts to decide.

If they’d kept it to themselves maybe. But broadcasting this shit is a different kettle of fish.
It was on Whatsapp - they likely never intended it going anywhere.
I really hope that the damn video is not seen by anyone from the block itself, bereaved relatives, schoolkids who lost friends, anyone living nearby. O God, the fire brigade too. How twisted would you have to be to think that was amusing?
The original post here had a Facebook link... regardless, WhatsApp is a social sharing site. The fact that lots of people use it simply as a chat app doesn't mean that's the only use. Lots of people use FB simply as a chat app to talk to people they know, too.
Even if private you can have your collar felt for malicious communications. But my point is the press must have got their hands on it somehow.
I think it's most likely that it was spread by people who thought it was funny, and then hit some people who didn't.
Yeah, I think maybe they just included the wrong (right?) person on their message.
So that people can judge for themselves what cunts they are.
The corollary to that is that there are enough people out there who think this stuff is funny that it spread far enough to be seen by those who didn't.Very plausible.

Yes, catching up slowly, I did wonder who filmed. One of their own type, then it got to a friend less horrible?I think it was likely not filmed with the intention of being seen by more than a very small audience, but the racism is obvious.

No chance. They went to a lot of effort to build that effigy. I reckon the sick fucks will be rather tickled by that.Yeah, I know. I’d at least like to think they’d be gutted about this reaching people directly affected.
That is very scary. I have not heard /seen the Tommy Robinson thing you mentioned. I will try to see it, bits of it.They're clearly steeped in racist-nationalist politics - this hasn't happened in a vacuum. Tommy Robinson's Grenfell video posted upthread has had 300,000+ views, of which of course not all support him but to get a feel of proportions it has 10k likes to 3k dislikes. Thats a lot of hateful racist people right there, and a big enough percentage of those who basically were quite happy to see grenfell go up in flames... These people aren't outliers.
