Downloaded this and just watched - was a very thorough job and an advert for the old-school virtue of keeping your hands up. Not seen any of the others in the division the commentators were bigging up as likely next opponents.
As with boxing it's all very round robin.
The top 4 in the division are
Timothy Bradley
Amir Khan
Devon Alexander
Marcos Maidana
Bradley and Alexander are both unbeaten whereas Khan and Maidana both have 1 loss each, Khan against Prescott and Maidana against Kotelnik, who Khan beat remember.
Bradley is the guy who beat Junior Witter a cpl of years ago and since then has beaten Kendall Holt, Nate Campbell and most recently Lamont Peterson. Nate Campbell is the guy who fought on the same bill as Khan on Saturday but was beaten by Victor Ortiz (the Golden Boy of Golden Boy), who in turn was beaten by Maidana who in turn was beaten by Kotelnik (split decision) who Khan beat.
Alexander also beat Witter last year and in his most recent fight beat Juan Urango, who Hatton beat a cpl of fights before his Mayweather fight.
The good thing is, all of the above 4 are 26 or under, 2 are 23 (Khan and Alexander) and Maidana and Bradley are 26.
Khan's interview when he said there should be a mini super 4 is a great idea, and hopefully it'll be sorted out.
As for Khan on Sat night, it was a professional performance alright but let's not forget it was against feather fisted Paulie Malinaggi, and he did catch Khan with some shots that someone like Maidana who's a banger may have hurt him with.
Maidana has 27 KO's in 28 wins so is dangerous.
But his defence, although at times leaky is definitely improved and he's with the best trainer in the world bar none in Freddy Roach.
He's definitely improved and will improve more, and he's only 23, so I can't wait to see what he does.
