Finally worked out what time Lidl reduce stuff

i got a full-sized lemon cheesecake in the coop tonight for 79p. Reduced from around £2.99.

Waitrose this evening - got 3 packs of topside beef reduced to 99p from £3.49

I need to get out there and stock up. It's been so long since I've put any effort in, I can't remember what time I should get to waitrose. I want buffet food and if I'm really lucky, the Christmas beef.

I just made 43 big sausage rolls out of reduced pork mince, reduced sausages, reduced pork stuffing with cranberries and reduced sage. Even the pastry was reduced. Get in!

(12 of them are veggie and don't qualify )

M&S was a treasure trove last Sunday. 4 pack of Russets for 20p amongst other things like a posh Xmas pie usually 7 quid for £2.10. And lamb rump steaks, which I've noticed seem to be more popular of late, for £1.50 instead of £3.50. I've been hunting for reduced stewing steak for weeks and nought so stumped up for some today which means I'll bloody find some tomorrow.

Chicken fillet packs today were about half price and I noticed they were on Tesco 3 for a tenner so I chanced a further reduction at the till and it came off. All in all about 4.50 for 3 packs for the price of one usually!

Don't forget to defrost freezers for the big post season clearouts at the supermarkets.

Just popped to the local Tesco. Duck spring rolls 75p, Finest pizza £1 down from a fiver. Nice.

I'm living in walking distance of a Booths so decided to have a look there tonight. Only got a BLT (45p from £2.50) and a pork pie (18p from £1.50) for my tea but I'll be making a regular trip there.

On the way back I went to the big Tesco where I'd had good luck with tb in the past. The assistant wouldn't let me take a packet of Finest muffins until he'd finished all the other stuff. I was a bit bewildered, wasn't like I wasn't gonna pay for it!

In the veg aisle people were sat around waiting for the knock downs to arrive. Anyone that desperate is more deserving of the spoils than I.

Went back and got the muffins for 8p.

I have a freezer full of cheap meat joints and can't fit anything else in. Chingford sainsburys get rid with heavy discounts on meat at about 3pm-4pm on Mondays and sometimes midweek.

We'll be having a nice roast this weekend, and next and next....

Funny story I've actually been put in charge of doing the reductions at the supermarket I work at.

If I want to I can reduce stuff to like 5p then immediately put it aside in the mini warehouse thing next to the supermarket and buy it when I go home. It's like a Tramp's Buffet paradise.

Still an awful job.

Last week I popped into a small Tesco for bananas and got them plus 5 large Pizza Express Pepperoni pizzas for 75p each! At first I bought 3 and another customer 2, then I went to my car and my need to share the bargain dwindled and I walked bAck fast to claim the other 2! I'm veggie but this is my stepson's fave pizza. His face when he looked in the freezer!
